Hey, as a 2012 Volunteer Rep for the Mean Green Club I wanted to just say "THANKS" to all the other reps who volunteered again this year or signed on to help for the first time. This year's program officially ended on June 15th, and we await the final tally of results. As we all do that, I just wanted all the other reps to know that I really appreciated your efforts in support of the Mean green and out student-athletes. Every dollar that is raised by the Mean green Club's generous donors and supporters goes to help these student athletes and it helps provide much needed additional dollars to the athletic department's budget. The goal, of course, for the Mean green Club is to "cover" the full costs of scholarships for all UNT scholarship athletes. And, while I am certain we are still a bit away from that goal, I am also certain that we are closer this year than ever before. What you do, as a volunteer rep, is of vital importance to the athletic programs at UNT. As a very proud member of the great Mean green Nation, I personally want to say "thank you" to each and every volunteer.

If you are reading this and have not, as yet, joined the Mean green Club or renewed your membership, it is very much still possible to do so. The "sign-up" period never ends for the Mean green Club, just the Volunteer Rep campaign portion. So, go ahead and take this opportunity to sign-up or renew for the 2012 year.

Thanks again, Reps. I know you are all busy and have lots of things demanding of your very limited "free time". So, volunteering for this campaign is certainly appreciated. See you all at the Volunteer Rep gathering in July. Time to celebrate and say thanks...you have my thanks and appreciation NOW!

Just give Jessica Hulsebosch in the Athletic Dept. a call and let her know you are interested in participating next time. I'm sure she would be glad to have you as a volunteer. I'd be happy to have you in the program. You do get to talk with a good many members of the Mean green nation and you get to twist a few arms in helping folks "see the light" and join for the first time.

being a volunteer Mean Green Club Rep is like any other volunteer effort...you get out of it what you put into it, and ones own attitude determines a great deal of their success and enjoyment. Go into it for the right reasons and because you love the Mean Green and you'll have a great time. It's worth the effort. Welcome aboard!
