I listened to the interview of the ASU System President (Dr Welch) this morning on 1039thegame.com and that guy is really supportive of the efforts to take stAte football to the next level . . he also has aggressive plans for other areas of the university, both athletics and academics, that are awesome, but it is football that gets my attention and he talked about plans for luxury boxes at the football stadium, indoor practice facility, consistently winning and building the fanbase, fundraising, etc. I was pumped by the end of that interview. Following his interview the AD for stAte was interviewed. He had similar things to say.

Based upon what the System President, the AD, and the new Head Coach envision for stAte I am totally pumped . . I am convinced that stAte football will quickly take off under their leadership and that will be good for both stAte and the SBC. They all want to build something special at stAte and then look back one day and realize they made it happen. It is an exciting time to be a stAte alum . . I have been waiting decades for this commitment to football to finally happen. It will not happen overnight, but then it did not happen overnight for Boise State either.

I see good things at hand for SBC football . . we as a conference are only getting stronger and I am enjoying the ride.
