High School: Berkner (Richardson)
AAU: Dallas Mustangs

Harris is the younger brother of former Oklahoma State and current Miami Heat player Terrel Harris.

Rivals listing: 3 star prospect, currently (January 2012) ranked 123rd nationally in the Rivals 150.
ESPN listing (not yet fully evaluated)

ESPN lists offers from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Marquette, Creighton, and Houston

Rivals lists additional offers from Missouri and Washington State. Lists interest in/from 19 other programs, including 15 BCS schools. Other Texas schools besides North Texas listed as interested or having offered: Texas, Texas A&M, Houston, UTEP, and UTA.

Harris has taken unofficial visits to Marquette and Oklahoma, among others.

Harris was in attendance on an unofficial visit to North Texas on 1/21/2012 for the overtime victory vs. Denver.

And when he had opened the fourth suit, I heard the voice of the fourth assistant coach say, Come and see.

And I looked, and behold a pale suit: and his name that wore it was Benford, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the court, to kill with substitution, and with haplessness, and with dishonor, and with the beasts of the not-actually-coaching staff.

Anyone know what number he is? Here's a Berkner clip from his JR year

**edit: got it. He's #5 and unfortunately, you can't read their numbers in this vid anyways.

DMN capsule lists his current averages (Junior year, current through 1/18/2012) as 12.7 ppg, 5 assists, 4.1 rebounds.

Eric Bossi article on Rivals (Nov. 2011) also identifies him as a PG with size enough to play at SG.

Despite him missing last summer's AAU circuit, Metroplex Hoops ranks Harris as the #4 area prospect in the class of 2013, behind only Julius Randle (4th nationally per Rivals, 3rd per ESPN), Keith Frazier (13th nationally per Rivals, 18th per ESPN), and Jordan Mickey (75th nationally per Rivals, 4-star/92 grade per ESPN).

And when he had opened the fourth suit, I heard the voice of the fourth assistant coach say, Come and see.

Kendal, you can help make sure that atmosphere is only the beginning.

How many scholarships will we have to give in 2013? Will it be 4 minimum? (Niko, Walton, Holmen, Franklin), with Mitchell's scholarship potentially coming open after either this year or next year.

Once we hit signing period, possibly the end of Spring semester, I'll make another pinned thread with the 2013 scholarship situation.

Obviously, there are still some things up in the air with roster configuration for next season.

And when he had opened the fourth suit, I heard the voice of the fourth assistant coach say, Come and see.

In attendance at 2 straight home games, both of them quite successful. That's an encouraging sign.

Very encouraging, especially the tweet about Mitchell.

If this was his official visit, what was the Denver game?

Juniors can't take official visits. He's come both times on an unofficial. I think we can give him a ticket, and the coaches can talk to him or show him around the public facilities.

But he's come to back-to-back games on his own.

Seems like Harris has been at Berkner forever! Starter with Jordan Mickey as freshman. Equal to Chris Jones as players. Coach was fired earlier because of some concerns by the UIL. Mickey, currently at Arlington Grace Prep, has Tony Mitchell ability. I thought he was going to fly under the radar but he's being exposed. Anyway, Harris makes sense here as I don't think he is a national recruit but a very good Texas guard. Harris and Mickey would rival this years newcomers.
