Wonder if this guy is any good?

Don't know, Phil, but usually those undecided at this late date either have 1. grade problems or 2. aren't 1-A material or 3. considered undersized (like Brewster). Obviously, he doesn't fit category 3.

Notice the running back from Hugo, Derrick Locke, signed with NEO. OldTimer had him listed as a prospect for us. Guess he either didn't have the grades, or we placed him there. Hope we still have a relationship with NEO, as there are a number of players in this game heading there.

Speaking of former recruits that were placed at a CC. What ever happened to Devin Godbolt who finished his HS career at Liberty Christian.

He doesn;t fit Category 1 either. He was a four year memer of the National Honor Society so that only leaves Category 2. He was honorable mention All-State (Class 3A) and 2nd Team Little All-(Oklahoma)City offensive lineman as a junior but I can't find any senior stats.

Heck yes I'm there again as I'm off duty and really enjoyed it last year watching Nick Foster go at it one more time. It will be fun to see what Russo and Johnson can do up close.

Emmitt, Zeke, Med, Harry etc, anyone else up for a short road trip?

Rick

I'm in. Chris and have been to seven Oil Bowl games. We missied last year's (had to work) and the one four years ago (we went to the Baytown All-Star game that year to see Zach Muzzy play) I've seen some very good UNT talent on the field in the Oil Bowl games. It's a great time, and the last time we have real football until fall practices start.

Let me know what you guys want to do, but this is an annual trip for us. We're there...

GMG!!!

Upon further review...

It must be Category 2. He will attend Southern Nazarene, which I believe is in Bethany, OK.

Thomas Moreland- reports signing April 15th, 2007.

I looked at the Texas Prep Insider report, that shows the schools of interest were

Miss State, Baylor, Iowa State, and Oklahoma. Did offers-scholarships fall through?

Moreland had impressive stats from the "kicking" schools/competition he attended.

I find this signing interesting, because NT was looking at 2 kickers, the kid from Argyle,

Ben Parks, and Logan Barrett, from Kennedale HS, for the 2008 recruiting class.

So, how does the signing of Thomas Moreland come into play with our current freshman

kicker, Steve Woodward? Is Thomas Moreland a "insurance policy" or competition to

improve the kicking game?

Does Moreland's scholarship apply to the 2007 class since he signed in 2007?

Does NT now stop recruiting the 2 kickers listed by Scout.com?

From everything I've read about / heard from Forney people, Moreland might have more potential as a punter, but he has a strong leg either way and its never a bad thing to have depth
