Elbert Robinson III grad-Transfers from LSU to ODU

Some of you may remember the incredibly tall kid from Garland Lakeview Centennial HS that was a guest of his former high school teammate Chris Jones at a couple of North Texas basketball games during Johnny Jones final season in Denton.

He is now transferring as a Grad-Transfer from LSU to play his final season at ODU.

I wish him nothing but the best at ODU where he's allegedly a sure starter, but I wonder if or how much he would contribute if he had transferred to North Texas.

I remember many were hoping we would land him out of high school, but he followed Johnny. We could have used his power in the paint. I’m staring to question our offseason.

Why?  Seems we have seen a decent pickup or two, and Simmons progressed nicely from the start of the season to the end and he is getting some extra experience playing overseas this summer a bit as well.  Before Zach is done, I think we will see some excellent big man play. And, I'm looking forward to more progress this coming season as well.

It has seemed very quiet for having had four scholarships and still having two left. We could still out on top, but it hasn’t seemed as eventful as years passed.
