I appreciate Lawson fighting through the pain to play with his bad wrist. Shows a lot of guts but wonder if it's worth it. He can't finish at the rim and it obviously affects his free throws. It also has to hurt his defense and rebounding. Newspaper article said it wouldn't improve until he has the surgery. Don't know the recovery time but we need him 100 percent for next year. Hope I'm wrong,  but don't see this team making a deep run in the tournament. Just not enough healthy bodies. What do you guys think?

It's not his wrist that's causing free throw problems. That has been going on for a while...   I feel like he has taken a major step backwards from last year.

Why?  McCasland is alway highly complementary of Lawson.   Lawson, I assume primarily because of injury is just not the player he was last year.  

It was obviously a bad decision not to have surgery, however NT is running out of bodies.

This team as a whole struggles to finish around the rim. I really wonder if Gibson coming back next year pushes Lawson out of the starting lineup. It's one thing having a point guard who is a bad shooter, but two of your three guards being really bad shooters is troubling. 

Surrounding Woolridge with good catch and shoot guys like Gibson, Lawson, and Tikhonenko could really have us looking good next year. Ideally I'd like to see Lawson come off the bench next year and be a secondary ball handler and defensive specialist who can get to the basket when asked but doesn't have much of the offense run through him.

I didn't mention the transfer kid from Arky State. He is a 6'4 swingman. Hope he can shoot and play defense. Don't think McCasland would have taken him if he didn't see a lot in his game. Tikhonenko will hopefully get stronger and can help stretch the defense out for Lawson and others to drive the lane. Wonder if Draper gets put on scholarship next year. If so, I think it would use our last one unless someone leaves. Got to get a win Saturday at Southern Miss. Go Mean Green!
