We need a new PA announcer

I tend to hold my tongue...but DAMN! Last night's PA job was worse than usual. TheWren has got to address this issue.  I know his plate is full for the next couple of months, but I expect him to address it after that, PDQ.

There! I spoke up and I feel better.

Could not agree more. Need more excitement as well.

Yes...and No. I want some excitement, not a news reader. At the same time, I don't want an "entertainer" that tries to fill every moment with his voice. Part of the game is talking football with one's neighbor without having to shout over the PA announcer.

Yeah, all the announcements over the PA is about as annoying as it gets. And his talking about say the 3 seniors that were being honored in the 3rd or 4th quarter for winning percentage or something, dude went on and on and on and on. Just get the gist of whatever crap you're jumbling off so I don't have to hear your voice anymore.

I've said this numerous times before, but Robb Coffey should be our PA man for football and mens basketball.

You've said it at least as much as I have.

And how in hell do you get Jeffrey Wilson's name wrong during senior introductions?

Although there is ZERO excuse to get one of our players' names wrong.  I think a more pressing need is the in- game presentation.  Instead of bringing people onto the field, then having tem walk off, have a camera on them in the open area of the stadium near the wing.  Fix the speakers on the PA so it doesn't sound like its only coming from one end of the stadium.  Mix the music up a little.  Have coordinated chants for the entire stadium that do not require to have everything stopped down and explained.  Have some excitement and pageantry from the band during pregame.  Have the band wear their damn uniforms.  Run the Battle Flag on the field.  Little things like that can make a huge difference.

Can you imagine some of our fans' heads exploding if Jub Jub was the PA Announcer?  He could do it.  He used to do it for the Cowboys.

Have you contacted anyone with these suggestions?
