UNT Endowment skyrocketed??

Has anyone noticed that our endowment went from $118 million to $300!?!? Holy crap. Good job Smatresk. We leapfrogged almost all of our old Tier 1 competition.

$118 million down to just $300?  That’s like Antoine Walker-level spending!

Pretty clear all we had to do was talk to our alumni. Amazing job. Very proud of my alma mater.

The financial statements are also interesting. From 2012 to 2016 operating revenue at the school rose from 360 million to 440 million.

In 2012 income before other items was a negative 11.2 million in 2016 it was 47.1 million. That is almost a 60 million dollar swing in the right direction. Dorms, Facilities, and Buildings are much easier to construct and maintain when the university is financially healthy.

Yup. As I’ve said before, I’m amazed at how quickly UNT has shed the commuter/second choice tag.
