Hello Mean Green Nation, 

I would like a show of hands of how many Alumni leave in or the around the Austin Area. I know the topic of UNT presence in Austin has hit wall after wall. But I feel the time is now to get this movement going again. But for a movement to start, we need to get an idea of what we are working with. 

Lets bring MEAN GREEN NATION to the State Capital!

Get down to the San Antonio Caravan stop and plead your case for an Austin stop next year.  I drove that distance for business many many times back and forth in a day...not bad if the highway idiots din't crash into each other!

      St. Johns is one of the great sleeping giant jobs in the nation. They have a fantastic basketball history (they haven't been that great for the last generation or so, but the Johnies do have a helluva tradition) going back about 80 years and they play in NYC at MSG.

      Recent Past With all the excitement over Tylor Perry we quickly forgot about the best player from our recent past. The stats and awards bear it out. In my mind the answer is Javion Hamlet. No other player has accomplished what he has. https://meangreensports.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/javion-hamlet/4731 Imagine what he would have accomplished if the 2020 NCAA Tournament had not been cancelled. We won the Conference in 2020 and arguably that was the best team we have ever had.

      Judge orders Florida State, ACC to mediation to settle suit

      A majority of schools could just vote to dissolve the ACC. There would be a court fight, but eventually schools that want out will be released with some greatly reduced financial penalty. It's like a divorce, you can't keep someone in an unhappy relationship, even with a contract. It will happen probably before the end of next year at the pace things are moving.
