Tony Mitchell needs to step up and fast

12 posts in this topic

With a 4-2 win-loss record, it would be easy to say that the Star Hotshots are in a great position to clinch a playoff spot in the ongoing PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Up next for the Hotshots are Blackwater, Rain or Shine, Tropang TNT, Meralco and Alaska which, except for the Elite, are touted as strong playoff contenders.

Just like any other import-flavored conference, these foreign reinforcements end up being replaced if a team feels a need to make changes or adjustments to improve on their playoff chances.

But Victolero, during a short talk with PBA mediamen after their tough loss to the Beermen last Sunday, expressed his hope of seeing import Tony Mitchell play a notch better than his six-game norm of 22 points, 14.2 rebounds and 3 blocks in their upcoming tough assignments.

Yeah, a very strong stat line and a very stupid headline.  He is the team leader in PPG, RPG, and blocks per game.  I really don't see that as being a player on the bubble.

He must feel right at home there.   He heard the same thing here plenty.

They really crushed him defensively... 9 boards, 22 points and shooting 42%. Man... basically a shutout

Hello team cancer.    Probably poor effort on his part.

Looks like Tony is dominating that league.  Lot of effort to slow him down and not particularly successful.
