DRC Wednesday practice notes (with Littrell video)

Interesting that this young man is walking on as a receiver.  He has a nice high school video and, it appears, spent some time at Grambling before heading to a CA JUCO.

What does that mean for Creighton Barr?  He was a highly rated lineman out of high school who had apparently worked his way back into the starting lineup.  Will he be moved to guard, backup Pahinui, or returned to starting center with Pahinui backing him up?

From the article, I read it to say this is where Pahinui would play, not that he is starting.  I think Barr needs to step up considering he was pretty highly rated coming out of high school.

So Pahinui is going to be a Center as well.  This either means Newman is going to change to a G, or he's destined for a redshirt... unless he just comes in and blows everyone away.

You don't want to have to depend on a freshman coming in.

Last year they had Rice also playing some center so they definitely want depth at the position.  It could be a really good battle in the fall to decide who starts at center.  Also, lack of production at another offensive line position could cause one of these three to move.

It's spring practice. Things (positions) on the lines can certainly change.
