We have offered. He currently has an offer from Southeastern Louisiana and a PWO to Georgia. I believe he is a qualifier and would be a 2016 recruit and would have 3 years left to play.

I'm a little baffled about this also.  However, I thought that Willy Ivery didn't participate in spring practice but if you'll review the Graham Harrell Mic'd Up video you'll see #29 in full pads kneeling and batting tennis balls with one hand.  

My thought was that they're converting him to wide receiver where his size is less a detriment and his speed and open-field moves are a real plus.  In addition, there is a lot less blocking big defensive linemen or blitzing linebackers.  Defensive backs are much nearer his size.  

I could easily be wrong but in many ways he reminds me of a Brelan Chancellor/Carlos Harris clone.

Not sure why he has not committed earlier from the looks of his video.  I like his speed and yards after initial contact.  He rarely goes down on first contact, has good vision and attacks the hole at the line of scrimmage.  It will be interesting to see how this translates to D1 ball.

Very quick to hit the hole and make decisions - that may help us. Layers moves, maintains momentum. Uses blockers to his advantage, baits defenders. Not all that great in the open field, sometimes cuts/baits too early, so I'd rather keep him in between the tackles. Needs to be more consistent in keeping pads low because he's got a truck stick and fairly good balance.

The closer we can inch him toward 200, especially around his thighs, the better. Would like to see him in short yardage and red zone situations here since he's quick to the hole and has a nose for the endzone.

I thought we were already full for the 2016 class. I wonder if this means someone isn't going to make it or if they are not going to put him on scholarship until after school starts and push him into 2017 class.

Also, based on Wyche's tweet, good to hear that God is a Mean Green fan.  I hope the negativity of the board doesn't change his mind.  Wish he would post more.  His first ten posts were pretty good, but it's been a while.

We had one pocketed.   This is the guy we chose to use it on.   Now, onto the 2017 class.

Yes, but we won't have 3-Techs we will have a 0 tech and 4's so they need to be big enough 260-280 to hold their own vs Tackles and quick and fast enough to shoot gaps etc.  I am sure they'd like him to be a bit heavier, but for our scheme I wouldn't say he was severely undersized particularly being in CUSA.

      Its in Queens, not Manhattan! I briefly looked at SJU when looking for grad schools, its a very unique university, its not for every student and that includes athletes. I dont know if they have the easiest time recruiting, sure its NYC, but there are plenty of quality programs near NYC. They do have Pitino, but how long is he sticking around?

      1: One big problem with the NIL (aka pay for play) is that the universities are what draw the fans, not the players. People argue that "they deserve a piece of the pie", etc., but the big money comes from rabid fans and alumni of the schools, not from fans wanting to watch certain players. I wish they would form a minor league football and see how much interest there is...wait, we already have that. It's called the XFL, USFL, UFL and the players don't make much money ($5,500/wk) and there aren't many fans at the games. Put the Rengades in Alabama uniforms and the Stallions in Auburn uniforms and you'd sell out AT&T stadium. Why, because the players don't matter, the universities are what matter (as it pertains to attendance). Another example is the NBA D-League. What kind of money are those guys making? (I'll save you the Google search, they make $25K/yr). I have to assume that's peanuts compared to many of the NIL deals players are getting. If you want to get paid, go pro. Nobody is making you go to college to get a free education that will benefit you for the rest of your life. 2: I hate the argument that "coaches make big money and can leave for another job whenever they want to." See the last two sentences of the previous point. If you want to be able to do that, go pro. Make it your career just like the coaches have done. There are a very limited number of head coaching jobs at the college level and these coaches have put in LONG hours and worked their way up to the positions that they are in. Nobody was giving them millions of dollars when they were a GA busting their tail for nothing.
