North Texas: TCU co-offensive coordinator / inside receivers coach Doug Meacham will be named head coach at North Texas, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. More coming on CoachingSearch.com.

 

although the other finalist, North Carolina offensive coordinator Seth Littrell, could still get the job.

Latest I heard was that Jimmy Johnson was coming out of retirement, turning the DD practice fields in to the asthma field, hiring Mark Richt as his OC and Waendstadt as his DC.  RV was going to pay him a half a million per year and include a yacht at Sneaky Pete's.

Football scoop disagrees.

North Texas: The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting TCU OC Doug Meacham has accepted the North Texas job. We are told that is premature. We reported earlier Monday Meacham is still considering the job, and a UNT source said Monday afternoon no hire has been made.

A whole of getting excited for nothing, so no one knows and everyone wants to say. Sounds about right.
