Who knows? He may have family there or perhaps just likes the town. Disappointing for us. Hope there is a plan B.

Portland was average last season. They did lose 3 senior post players I think, but I thought they had already brought in a few young bigs to replace them. They have at least 1 seven footer. I guess he wanted to come off the bench on a decent team instead of starting on a up and coming team. Hoping there is a plan B as well. Hoping plan B want to start instead of riding the pine like Berreno seems to want to do.

The hope should be that we have a better big man that we are interested in. The thought of losing a kid to Portland freaking St. is just depressing.

I just liked his size. We need someone atleast 6'10. If e get another 6ft 7in PF then we will give up a lot of points in the paint next season.

Maybe he knew if he went to Portland State he would just fly under the radar at tiny school no ones knows/cares about.

up and coming? is that what we are now?

Portland finished the year with a winning record, plays in a far better basketball conference and participated in a post-season tournament...and the 7'0" averaged less than a point a game, so this kid has a good shot at starting.

we are not the more appealing option.

We did beat them on their home court a season ago.
