Committed to Kansas. This kid had some tweets that were very pro Mean Green and this coaching staff. Someone also posted on the board about him being very interested (didn't use his name but mentioned it being a kid in the Killeen area). I was thinking our staff actually had a chance at him, so it's pretty interesting to me that he commits elsewhere the day after Mccarney is let go. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Man recruiting could be especially ugly this year.  Surely Mac knew he was leaving after the season or trying to get fired and was simply mailing in recruiting.  Seems like grounds for breach of contract to me.  Certainly not normal behavior.

No, I don't think so. When this recruiting class cycle started I think Mac thought he was locked in here as long as he wanted to be. RV was touting has as proof that he had brought in the coaches we needed during the coaches caravans. He just couldn't recruit and had lost touch with modern-day recruiting. This kid we one of the few it seemed we had made an impression on.
