Nice 90!!

I wish I had enough $ to change the culture at UNT. I wish I could walk into who evers office needs to be walked into laid a pile of cash on the table and said get RV, and Benfords sorry rears out of here. Then lay another pile down and say I want the football program revitalized with young aspiring coaches, who know the game, are cutting edge, and recruit like hell. Is that to much to ask?? :)

GMG24: Good comments. I think we all feel that way. Tired of sorry Board of Regents and administrative leadership "LEADERSHIP". This university community deserves winning academic and athletic programs, in athletics UNT needs to wake up and get on board. Why the lame leadership?

Here is a scary stat for you : since the start of the football season , the major sport teams are a combined 10-32 vs DI competition

Another scary stat: as of today our major sports teams are a combined 4-14 (.222 winning percentage) in CUSA play this school year. We are tied with Southern Miss for dead last in the conference in combined record among those three sports.

And we aren't supposed to be rebuilding. We have a 4th year head football coach, 3rd year men's coach, and 3rd year women's coach.

And So Miss would own the tie breaker on us, damn. #DeadLast #ItsAllAJoke

Going to have a battle for last place going next Saturday.

Out of the big 3 sports, only football has divisions. But against the schools in our division in the major sports, we are 2-11 against them this year. If we lose both to Louisiana Tech then we'll be 2-13 heading into our showdown against Southern Miss for sole possession of the CUSA cellar.

There seem to be only two options of opinion around these parts lately:

1) Start commissioning the life sized bronze statute of RV for placement outside the alumni side entry to Apogee. Lay fresh flowers and lit candles at its feet daily.

2) Display RV's head on a pike doused in tar and feathers on the student side entrance of Apogee. Free throwing tomatoes for the first 5,000 fans in attendance.

I don't adhere to either one of these. There are pluses and minuses to anybody doing any job.

I do, however, wish that somebody, anybody, would acknowledge that this basketball program is a train wreck of hell on wheels destined to careen off the track and into the rocky canyon below. Wile E. Coyote cloud of dust upon impact optional.

Which one, the men's or women's?

And there is a third possibility for RV. Politely telling him thank you for your service, but it's time we move in another direction.

No tomatoes, no head on a stick. Just a quite exit followed by a very scary "search" for a replacement.

Don't forget the pile of cash to rid us of Lee Jackson.
