  1. It only makes sense for something like this to happen, but I wonder if the Lovelaces and McNatts envisioned this as a return on their investments.
  2. I suppose there's not a lot of options out there for us small fries. I suppose the Big 12 and ACC are still in the big picture?
  3. Outstanding! Congratulations Mean Green Polo!
  4. Yes. Some type of accountability would be nice.
  5. So who's going to find the real murderer now? OJ searched every golf course he could and no luck.
  6. I read an article recently that stated the University of Nebraska might be expelled from the Big 10 because it doesn't meet AAU criteria. There are only 71 members in this organization with only three being in Texas. Rice, A&M and UT. Tulane and S. Florida are the only AAC schools listed. California has several and membership is by invitation only. With UNT being a Teir One research university, is this something we should strive for? Are we even close to meeting the criteria? Research seems to be the name of the game to attain this status. For those in the know, please educate this minion. Thanks!
  7. I nominate Harry, SUMG, Firefightin Rick and Scott Campbell and UNT Lifer. For starters.
  8. I suppose that's true if you're a generic sports fan who doesn't make an emotional investment in your favorite team/school. Perhaps in this new Era that's a mistake. Where we sit, we make it a point to cheer and encourage the players by name And I know they hear us. We care about them as people, not some nameless player wearing the uniform. They are like family to us. As fans we buy tickets, attend as many games as possible, donate to the scholarship fund and collective and anything else we can do to help the team. It's a financial, time and emotional investment that takes a toll on us and losing our team like this is like losing a family member to a cross country job promotion. This sucks big time and it hurts. I suppose I'll have to adapt or get out all together.
  9. Now, if we'd just wear green for a change so we establish our own brand.
