  1. While I agree that they don't look good, they still have enough time to turn it around. And the talent to do it. But as the announcers mentioned, an automatic bid is in question for them given the recent bad losses that they've had.
  2. Great first half but we didn't close strong over the last two minutes. Need a strong start to this second half to keep UAB out of striking distance.
  3. You have to know the situation. We gave that game away by not holding for the last shot. So frustrating.
  4. We've given up 7 easy points off in bounds from underneath their own basket. Gotta fix that in the 2nd half.
  5. Make no mistake, this was a good get for us. He has played well when he's had the chance, completing 66% of his passes for 16 TDs along with 5 INTs. And he's a coaches son so he understands the game of football. Let's be honest with ourselves, we're going to get two types of QB transfers. One moving up from a smaller school or one moving from a P5 in order to get playing time. Chandler Morris fits the latter and should be a good fit for our system.
  6. Going to have to rely more on the post game for scoring. Need Sissoko from the WSU game to show up again today.
  7. Sissoko looking strong tonight. Playing great defense and solid rebounding. We need that for the 2nd half. And Scott to stay calm and out of foul trouble.
  8. I just saw that the line has moved to UNT -20.5, started at -17. Am I missing big news of Rogers being out with an injury? Or is Vegas just fading us that hard?
  9. This team has a different feel to it and I'm liking it so far. Coach Mac was one of the best I've ever seen in closing out and winning close games. We'll see if Hodge can do the same.
  10. You hardly win football games if you lose the turnover battle. And you especially never beat teams that are better than you if you lose the turnover battle. We had two costly ones yesterday that killed potential touchdown drives. To me, the bigger problem is our size, or lack thereof. The last three weeks, it has been glaringly obvious that we don't look like or play like a successful D1 program, especially on the defensive side of the ball. But also, both of Rogers picks yesterday we from tipped passes at the line of scrimmage. Simply put, UTSA has size up front on defense that we lack. Until we get some bigger defensive lineman up front, we will continue to struggle.
  11. Looks like some Travis Mathew swag. Good looking polo.
  12. Really wish we had one more player of size where we could slide Aaron into the #3 spot. He's athletic enough to defend guards on the defensive end and would create all kinds of havoc offensively if opposing teams were forced to have someone smaller guard him.
  13. And yet the Ravens still won a Super Bowl with him under center. Which speaks purely to how dominate that defense truly was. They could have won with anyone.
  14. It would have helped us over the past few seasons with as porous of a defense that we had. Not sure if this helps or hurts us moving forward. Just really helps to speed up the game. Probably impacts teams with fast paced offenses more than those that are more methodical.
  15. Great video! Looking forward to our new adventure into the AAC.
  16. Things aren't getting better for Coach Huggins. Not sure how he survives this on the heels of what happened a month or so ago. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-basketball/west-virginia-coach-bob-huggins-arrested-on-dui-charge
  17. Found this information somewhat interesting. UNT ranks at #75, which is ahead of several of our conference counterparts. https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances
  18. You can't achieve goals that are never set. I like that they spelled exactly what they want to see happen. Now WE just have to make it happen. Go Mean Green!
  19. We obviously want you to stay but whether you stay or if you go, thank you. You have built something this university can be proud of. You have shown the world what UNT has to offer and the heights that we can reach. You came and accomplished exactly what you said you would. You have built champions and laid the foundation for success for years to come. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart. GO MEAN GREEN!!!
  20. This time of year is all about what team is the hottest headed into March and right now, I'd say that team in C-USA is us. We're playing our best basketball of the season and I guarantee you no one in the conference wants to face us in Frisco. Let's continue finish strong and just keep winning!
  21. First time I've seen UNT Jordan gear. Did I miss something?
  22. We have to find a way to quit letting games get this close down the stretch. We need to start putting folks away instead of letting them linger around.
