  1. This is New Orleans, Louisiana you're talking about... Somebody's cousin got the contract for that job, and it'll be over-budget, over-timeline, and done under-specifications. Oh no, I've said too much...
  2. He's having a great year: 66 combined tackles, 2 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, and an interception! Keep it up #52! WHO DAT! GO MEAN GREEN!
  3. How about those Air Jordan track jackets!? When are those going on sale??
  4. As a squid at an Army command, it's gonna be a tough week. But at least my alma mater beat Army! GMG!
  5. Visited New Orleans a few months ago for a Saints game (WHO DAT!), here's a few places from that visit: Brunch: Court of Two Sisters. Jazz brunch buffet with great food and drink in a lovely courtyard setting. Have a brandy milk punch and enjoy some jazz. http://www.courtoftwosisters.com/ Lunch: Company Burger. Great burgers and drinks, good spot to grab a bite for lunch. https://www.thecompanyburger.com/location/downtown Dinner (fancy): Brennan's. They invented Bananas Foster. Great upscale dining. http://www.brennansneworleans.com/ Dinner (casual): Deanie's. Great place for poboys and seafood. If you're with a big group they have a great seafood platter that feeds a lot of folks. https://deanies.com/ Thing to Do: Visit the National WWII Museum. Possibly the best museum I have ever been to. It takes up a few city blocks and you can't see everything in one day, but their exhibits on the European and Pacific theaters are so immersive you'll think you're there. https://www.nationalww2museum.org/ Advice: - If you want the tourist experience, go to Bourbon street. If you want a more local experience, go to Frenchmen street in the Marigny neighborhood.
  6. For all the Mean Green Who Dats, the Saints are having a game against the Jets the following day (12/17)... Two games in one weekend!
  7. Just because you’re an officer doesn’t mean you’re a leader. I’ve seen plenty of officers who couldn’t lead their way out of a paper bag.
  8. If a school with a Tiger for a mascot can have an eagle, why can't we? Can we get a bald eagle sanctuary on campus somewhere? That would be so cool! Students could vote to name them, they could fly around before the game or during halftime, and kids could go visit them before the game! Who do I need to throw money at to make this a thing?
  9. I was just glad to not hear "Fly Like an Eagle" 3000 times. They played it a few times, but with a hip-hop beat to start. I liked that much better than the super long intro.
  10. That's what I wanted to know! Did everyone get something from Whataburger? Or was it just a fake?
  11. I didn't know about but the postseason ban, but with Ole Miss I'm not surprised. More often than not, with 6-6 P5 teams, their bowls are very local. It was between Arkansas and Ole Miss, and with Arkansas still having to play LSU and Miss St, I don't think they would be in. And I'm not sure that a 6-6 ACC team would want to make the trip to Shreveport. However, with Mizzou, Tennessee, and Vandy all at 4-5 and with each other to play, one of them will pillow fight their way to 6-6 and might be interested in the Independence bowl (but more likely the Liberty Bowl due to travel). I just really want to see UNT in a bowl other than the Steve Martin's Penis Beauty Cream Middle Of Nowhere Bowl.
  12. 9-4 UNT vs 6-6 Ole Miss in the Independence Bowl Mark it down
