  1. I know a lot of people feel that we should offer our next coach somewhere around the 1.5 million figure, (in a way I do too) but what if we instead paid our next head coach around what Dan was making and possibly invest and extra 200K per year for a better Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator, making that 100k extra for each position. HC - 770,000 - 860,000 OC - 270,000 - 300,000 DC - 270,000 - 300,000 I think that will allow for a young coach (like briles / #wishful thinking) to come in and us not have to worry about his age or possibly in-experience at the HC position. I'm curious to hear y'alls take on this.
  2. I get that D. Smith had a terrible game last week, but shouldn't we be giving him and Conner Means some game time experience so they can gain that confidence and knowledge. Alot of people learn better hands on. I don't think a couple series, in one game is enough. I mean Im sure the kid was nervous and wanted to do good and just got the jitters, and ended up trying to do to much. The kid hadn't played a live game in almost a year. I feel like if D. Smith would of played the entire game he would of had better numbers* than McNulty. But that is beside the point, we need to be getting these quarterbacks on the roster to a point where we are 100% confident in their ability. why not take advantage of getting them game time experience, it seems like we are in the perfect situation to do that. McNulty has had 5 years to improve, and hasn't. I'm not quite convince he can do it in 8 more games. McNulty is obviously the "Best quarterback" right now, but it doesn't mean that the "Best quarterback" will win us games. we should be investing in the future. I am not knocking McNulty starting, but at least give a few dedicated series to D. Smith and Conner Means each game.
  3. I think many fans would agree with that statement. Good coaches recognize when someone, or something doesn't fit, and makes adjustments accordingly. North Texas has talent in my opinion, enough talent to wins games, i just don't think we are utlizing all of our talent like we should be. #StatingTheProblemWithNoSolution Side tangent: Using trick plays is another way of getting players with talent the ball. I've always wish North Texas would do more trick plays (that would definitely keep the fans entertained).
  4. I agree that UNT should not be throwing away eligibility. I still don't like the "Kevin Dillman" move from QB to TE. I think, with development he would have been a great QB for UNT.
  5. http://www.specialtytolltags.com The above link states If you send an email (specialtytolltags@NTTA.org) and let them know you're interested in a U of NT Toll Tag they will keep you informed on when they will be coming out.
  6. I 90% agree with you. I still think the tight end formation should be used, but just on rare occasions.
