Great points. I don't see any reason for Chico to use the power running game the way we did with Greer as QB. I genuinely believe the game against Nicholls was DW's audition of running an offense Canales wants to run, but didn't have the centerpiece to do it. I also don't think it's irrational to go into Bloomginton and expect victory. We've had a couple of weeks to prepare and solidify our game plans on both offense AND defense. DW and our new look offense will still be relatively new to Indiana on scouting reports since they have roughly 4 quarters of footage. Your hope about Marcus Smith being more involved in the gameplan is what we all should be hoping for! He is a wonderful weapon to have and will be critical in the executions of play action and read option pass plays.

The game will be won by the team that controls the trenches. To reiterate what everyone is saying, our O-Line has to be able to open up holes and get to the second level to get the running game going. More than anything, Canales has to open the game up by taking shots down field on play action passes. Terrell should see a lot of balls thrown his way; no one will be more motivated than him to perform in Austin. Our front 7 have a chance to show critics that given the opportunity, these guys can rise to the occasion. Stopping the run is going to be incredibly difficult, but I'm sure Coach Mac has those boys ready to create turnovers and take a "bend but don't break" approach to this game. GMG

Voted Greer but knowing Mac's tendencies, McNulty gets the nod. Greer will be the starter by the end of the year regardless.
