  1. No offense Harry, the "douche" label is cute but we need an that is more indicative of the the person receiving it. For people wearing "longwhorn" hats, or smuT looking shirts, or anything that is not approprate at a UNT game, I think we should have a "richard" head award, if you know what I mean. We could even find a trophy that looks like "richard" head. You could award this "trophy" to some non-UNT fan who really screws up at tailgating, or a fan at the game. Opposing fan, of course.
  2. I just don't see the Univ of Louisville being a factor in any Big 12 expansion.
  3. Good idea! Put out a Facebook notice and you could possibly have 2,000 UNT'ers out there shouting "let UNT in".
  4. And did you notice who's recruiting him for Texa$ A&M? Dat Nguyen of football fame.
  5. Oh, man! I can't wait to sink my teeth into some BBQ Wildebeest and Alligator Sauce Piquante!
  6. Sadly, I agree. And I put the blame on the "richard head" that is the commissioner of the Big Ten. That's why the sumbitches have been so silent during all of this current realignment talk. This guy Delaney has waged a war against the non-BCS/non-AQ programs for several years now.
  7. Is there a replay of the radio show available?
  8. Lets not forget that we disposed of a PAC 10 team once upon a time. Oregon State back then was not the Oregon State of recent years, but still a PAC 10 team nonetheless.
  9. Well, Tony, as you know I'm Sicilian from both sides of my family. Your meatballs will be under close scrutiny. It will be interesting to compare recipes. Bet they're very comparable.
  10. Uh, would Tony's Italian Meatballs happen to be on that menu?
  11. If I were TCU, I'd backtrack to the Mountain West. The Frogs and Boise State in the MWC makes a strong argument for making that an AQ conference. Then again, if the goal is to have four, 16 team super conferences, then nothing will work for TCU. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Super Four break off from the NCAA and become funded and run by the networks and the NFL. The Semi-Pro Super Four. Either way, college football as we once new it is gone forever.
  12. Personally, I think McCarney is simply gearing up for next season. He's trying to see who he can lead this team, who can make the plays, and who can get the job done on defense. The players are doing nothing more than interviewing for not only conference games but for next season under real game conditions. And I'm fine with that.
  13. Question I have is, did Saban call off the dogs or did UNT play a pretty good game considering the competition?
  14. My adopted player, Michael Stojkovic, is doing really well. He'll be a force.
  15. Found this on another board. First Row Sports I'm going to try it for the FIU vs UCF game.
  16. If it's Sunday then I'll know the UNT vs Alabama game is over and done with. Hope we come out of the game without injuries.
  17. There is nothing wrong with SMU's Ford Stadium. Very traditional, very nice.

  19. The North Texas "Rackout" thread is classic!
  20. Here's the facts- Boise's first year in D1a was 1996, one year after we re-entered D1A. They've only had two losing seasons: 1996 they were 2-10, and 1997 they went 4-7. Not counting this season, Boise State is 146-43, a 77% winning percentage; Boise has been to 11 bowl games. Please don't tell me these recruits are going to Boise State for the scenery, academics, or skiing lessons in the winter. Something is amiss with this program. Source: 1A History
  21. Point is, they've been very successful since turning D1A, right out of the block.
  22. I've always been of the opinion that these programs that rise to the top really fast must be doing something illegal. Hope the good people at Univ of Central Florida and South Florida are watching closely.
  23. Had to miss the Coach McCarney show last night. Is there a replay of it? Checked KNTU's site and it's not available.
  24. He needs to support one of the Denton High Schools where everything is smaller in scale and closer for his walking convenience.
  25. Recently, various articles include Texas Tech going wherever UT goes or wherever Oklahoma and Oklahoma St go (PAC 12). Why is Tech included in all of these conference moves? Why is everyone so enamoured with Texas Tech?
