This may sound crazy, but why not bring in the best five quarterbacks we can get this recruiting class. Simply tell them, all five of you will compete for a QB position on the 2012 team. Two of you will be QB's for NT. The other three will compete for a wife receiver or DB position. This position has been our achilles heel since the Scott Hall days. Kind of reminds me of the Dallas Cowboys. How many QB's have they gone through over the past decade+, and where has it gotten them?

I think this is a winning post! UNT football has always been an afterthought in state consumed by Southwest Conf/Big 12 for decades. UNT was never in that circle and we still pay the price.

Chico does not need to be fired. But.............Chico is not the same Chico personality-wise like last year. I think the man is still bitter over not getting the HC job. Hey, that's life in the big-leagues. Well, how about the "mid-major" leagues anyway. Chico has a burr under his saddle and it shows.

Our defensive line and linebacker play has really improved. It's the guys responsible for the secondary that have "dropped the ball" for us. Pardon the pun. Our DB's are just bad.

A few "eye witness" facts from the ULL game which I attended. (I've attended the past three ULL-UNT games in Lafayette) - Friendly people, willing to offer food and conversation to opposing team fans. Genuine people. - I doubt they had 100K tailgating; but they did have a whole bunch. Very impressive. - There were many empty seats in the stadium but I'm sure if you put the fans sitting in the grassy end zones into those seats you would get the 32K attendance - I think of student section and their extremely foul mouths as "LSU Lite" (fans). - great game-day atmosphere but dry and hot - No offense ULL fans, but get a larger video board. The one you have is so small that it's useless. - Our DB's were still reading their press clippings from the FAU game! - By far the best attended ULL game I've been to. Previous games at ULL may have had 2-3000 fans on the press box side. WINNING HELPS ATTENDANCE!

Exactly! When the "roadkill" start playing those elaborate schedules for several years and are manhandled severely, you'll see a different picture of the real utsa's foray into FBS football.

Tough schedules for utsa. Need I remind everyone of UNT's schedule in 1995? Let's see the roadkill win some of those OOC games before anointing them the next Alabama.
