  3. the same troy that had a top 10 rush defense last year. the same troy that beat brad smith and mizzouri...? Much Better? nah. good luck though.
  4. I left bnew orleans for baton rouge and we should be okay. okay being nothing more than 70ph sustained winds with gusts near 100. Baton rouge should bne okay and I think the game will be fine, BUT, I suggest anyone who was planning on staying in new oprleans to call and find substitute hotels in the baton rouge area. if this thing leeps on its track New Orleans probably will not be able to handle your resveration. I even brought my tickets with me for our game b/.c I do not expect a house to go home to, or the time between now and then to go get them. I probably will not be able to post much but as the conditions worsen in baton Rouge, I will try to keep you notified. PLEASE, WHOEVER IT IS YOU PRAY TO, SAY A PRAYER FOR THOSE OF US IN AND NEAR NEW ORLEANS. MYSELF AND THE MILLION + PEOPLE IN THE AREA NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET.
  5. I am not sure what type of occurrance you are referring too, BUT if it is cars being vandelized (as you stated earlier) etc.. that is far from LSU's repuation. Just keep spreading those urban legends, and remember don't ever flash your lights at a car when their lights are off, that is part oif a gang initation. AND don't eat at Wendy's b/c my cousin ate their and bit into a dead chicken egg, AND always lock your doors at the gas station otherwise someone might climb into the back seast and murder you 5 miles down the road etc. The childhood stories are old and tired. You have your opinion and whn your NT friends get back, we will have theirs. care to take a wager that there are more good stroies than bad? I bet you don't take that one.
  6. yeah, thats it... it is hourbon street. That is why there is a post on the second page of this noard from a NT fan talking about Baton Rouge Hotels. Now you are saying Nt Texas fans are making the trip b/c they don't know any better. Pretty presumptious of you to think they don't know any better, but you do. Ever thought that maybe it was you that had the wrong idea? Call me crazy, BUT when thousands of your NT brotherin want to make the trip, maybe you are the one with the wrong impression and not the THOUSANDS of others. My point exactly. The bigger the program and more meaningful the games (ie rivalry), the more banter (etc) you will have. How much smack do you thin is tossed around at the SMU vs Wisconsin game (ex). There are some bad apples at LSU who do some stupid sh1t, no doubt. BUT to to think that it happens more at LSU than anywhere else is just crazy. LSu is known for its hospitaltiy in Omaha (even when LSU is not in the cws) and when we travel on road games bringing thousands of pounds of food to feed our hosts. We historically invite our opponants for home games to share in banter and our festivities. Can some indivduals ruin an experience, of course, but it does not represent LSu and those who make th trip will see so.
  7. NO, what it says is when dealing with big time d-1 programs the best seats will not be available for visitors. You usually are not going to get the best seats. When dealing with 30,000 seat stadiums that are 3/4 full, maybe so, but not at this level. In the future, maybe you should ask em what I mean instead of assuming. You know what they say about assuming.
  8. yes, another error. You got me! I am heartbroken. What gets me is that you either couldn't figure it out, OR it bothers you so much you feel the need to point it out AGAIN!!!! There are alot of people who never set one foot on LSU's campus and all they have is a high school education that are affiliated with the university. That is a difference that LSU has. It is in the blood. You don't have to be a student or an alumni and the purple and gold passion can run as strong through your veins as anyone else. As a matter of fact, i know someone who has never attened one day of class at LSU and drinks probably a half bottle of scotch on every gameday and loves LSU, he has no affiliation right? UNless you call donating $15 million to the school of business and having them name the college of business admion after you.
  9. i will not get into this with you here b/c it matters not in this post. You can e-mail me and we can exchange pictures and stories. I have some good ones, as i am sure you do to. From FSU and UF at the doak, to a ND and USC in south bend to a red river shoot out. None of my posts were in reference to wherr you have seen games, BUT our visiting section is not as bad as some others. NOW, that being said, there are some seast better than others. YOU BOUGHT the tickets in those sections. NT returned thousands of tickets to us, so they obviously didn't sell out. How can you blame that on LSU? this is a typical visiting fans seat, not too bad if you ask me. this is section 3 (south). I KNOW there are other sections available, you just didn't chose them.
  10. That is the biggest crock of cr@p. Why is it when teams see LSU on their schedule they sell more tickets to that game than they do any other road game on their schedule except for maybe a rivarly game or a road game close to home. I'll bet money right now that the number of NT fans that make the trip will be one of your largest road traveling sections of the year. I guess they all want to be treated like sh!t. The only fans that leave baton Rouge with bad experiences are those who are too thin skinned and should avoid all road games no matter what or those who go there looking to start cr@p. If you go to baton Rouge with the good spirit of college football in mind, you will have a great time. yeah, there will probably be some drunk a55e5 who take things a bit too far, BUT you think that can't happen in Denton to a visitor?
  11. obvioously so, otherwise you would have left this topic alone LSU is voted among the best places (if not THE best place) to watch a college football fan, but good try at proving absolutely nothing. when you get to big time college football pal, the season ticket holders have the good seats. you are lucky we even have visitor seats in the lower bowl. there are MANY people at LSU and around the country in REAL college football that pay WAY more than $50 a ticket to watch the game, but that just shows the mentality you have and others have about college football.
  12. okay, here goes the ole forum spelling and grammar debate. first off, do you really care? i mean does it reall bother you? does it drive you nuts that i don't use captial letters everytime i need to. i don't take the time to spell check my posts when i am done, i am not a secratary and i did not get my masters degree i typing. i am in outside sales and make my fortunes on convincing people to see thngs my way. if it really bothers you i will hire you as my personal post spell checker. i have alot of $ to spend and a couple of thousands posts on tigerdroppings you can sart with, that should keep you busy until 9-3. i probably have misspelled words (or mistyped them) in this post, and I relly don' care. NOW, as far as tigerdroppings goes, it is a great site and NOT JUST for tiger fans. We probably have more guests from other schools than mostb other boards have members. Yeah, we'll give you as little hell as I have getten here fro time to time, but it is all in good fun. Hope to see you there again soon.
  13. here are some video's we had on Tigerdroppings.com link link2
  14. i don't see it ovr 30. With two teams that will run the ball all night (or at least try to), i think it will be somewhere in the 20's. I say LSU -24 1/2, over under at 65.
  15. the Target website said July 6th or 7th i can't remember but I e-mailed them and they told me it was a mistake. If you have any 24 hour wal marts you may be able to get it after midnight on the 11th.
