  1. USAF 2006-current Fairchild AFB, currently in Kuwait
  2. I was speaking of UT donors pouring money into the program. Our donors just simply put what they got, which is not a bad thing, just don't have the mass numbers or the ticket sales of a huge stadium.
  3. Here in Kuwait we have dub-dub's.....that's the sound the freakishly huge dinosaur-lizards make when you run them over....no that doesn't answer your question!
  4. Because when you pay for a product and associate yourself with it, you want results. It is no different than the major schools. For instance if Mack Brown was to go 2-18 the next two years, would you think the fans would say, "Well we should give him a few more years to try and turn this thin around"? No, they would probably be calling for his head by mid-season. They are pouring tons of money into the program and expect positive results. And I know the comparing NT with Ut is like apples and oranges, but the majority of this board put a lot of their heart and money into this program so it is understandable to want results....especially after 4 great years to see that NT has potential to be a worthy adversary. With that being said I am not one who is calling for his head just yet, but I do understand those that do.
  5. I 100% agree with you bob. In addition to your post, those football players need to be held accountable for the simple fact that they are role models to a degree. Alot of these players have aspirations to go to the NFL and as a society, we hold professional sports players and celebrities to a higher standard because they are role models. This should be no different for college players as well, because if one of these players was some kid's hero, that kid would lose that role model. As an additional note that someone else had posted on this board regarding venting frustrations towards the players, someone else chimed in that they are also grown men and should be able to accept the criticism. This is not different, they need to face reality, grow up and press on.
  6. I am not taking one side or the other right now due to if you look at my amount of posts I am still a newbie but....I think you have to understand that the reason so many are calling for Dodge's head is that when he was hired, he was suppose to produce results. I for one was pretty happy about the news that he was getting hired in the first place, but my frustration on where this team stands is with the best of them. It is not a personal vendetta towards Dodge, it just no results have been shown yet, even though I understand that there are improvements(?) in certain areas on both sides of the ball from just reading the board. It is hard for me to grasp just where this team is beacause of being 7000 miles away. If this team had won maybe 2-3 games or more this year, this wouldn't be a problem. It is just frustration that we can move the ball and not score.
  7. If I had 10 mil for every time I had a gut feeling that we were going to pull out a win....the stadium would already be paid for!
  8. Maybe this could help? How To Coach College Football
  9. On a plus side, it seems alot of local media outlets are picking up on this story, though sometimes negative. And the critics say that a new football stadium would not lead to greater recognition......
  10. Wow....if only we had more support from students like these that confuse Jerry World's model of a stadium to ours! Ughhh.....
  11. I couldn't agree more, and think why this ship still has a chance to be righted and not sinking......maybe not this season but next!
  12. I found this article pretty interesting, though dated before current season. Coaches in the future
  13. I was still a young pup then, but please oh please tell me this wasn't true! But otherwise, from hearing different histories recounted on this board, I would agree wholeheartedly with this "history of futility". I am posistive that this program is moving in the right direction however bleak it may seem now. A few of my buddies over have heard of the Mean Green and one even commented the he remembers them being pretty damn good. It is going to take a few impatient years but I do believe that this ship can be righted with Dodge at the helm. I can't wait to make my first football game when the new stadium opens after missing every football season so far!
  14. Usually Id on top....password on bottom
