Who all will be there for the season opener? Me and my 2 boys will be there. I am pretty fired up about this one. Do people think this thing will be packed ? Does anybody know what it officially holds ?

I think it holds about 3,200. Will it be packed? This is North Texas. Maybe by halftime.

The commute from Houston is just too much although I considered it. My brother, who hasn't been to a NT game in probably 15 or 20 years is going and bringing his two boys, because he remembers how much fun games in The Pit were as kids. He wants his boys to experience it, and I hope they get hooked on NT basketball and start attending again on a regular basis.

I'll be there, Athletics did a hell of a promotion today in the union. Get a t-shirt if you text 10 friends about the game friday. It was nuts.

I coming with two buddys. One's a fellow NT alum and the other's an Aggie. NT is quickly becoming his adopted college sports team even though I brought him to Fouts twice this season.

Wish I could make it...if someone could organize a good 1950s ra-ra chant ala Hoosiers you would be my new leader. Or if you go Dennis Hopper bat-shit crazy. Either or.

Nah. Since I bring the kid with me to all of these things, and judging by her reaction of sheer terror the first football game when we tried to sit in the student section, I think we would need a more genteel environment.

Keep a look out for FB recruits. This weekend is supose to be
a big recruiting weekend so maybe there will be prospects
at the game.

Well that's one way to get 'em in here. Take 'em to basketball games instead! "Um...yeah!! Our whole program is this good!"

I had a crazy thought early in the week, but it may be too late now. I'd like to go to the dollar store and get a whole bunch of green plastic/rubber snakes to wave wildly through out the game...and possibly throw down onto the court afterward. Maybe it'd be silly if it was just me doing it, but imagine the whole crowd dangling snakes in the air!

I have to buy tickets this semester b/c I completed all classes and couldn't register for dissertation until Spring.... anyhow, I was in the ticket office a few hours ago and asked them how tickets sales were and they said they were suprised at how well they were selling... hopefully, we can recreate that crazy deafening atmosphere tonight... I'd really like to experience what other generations of students had before me.
