NTTV Sports is looking for any pictures, video, or even film reels of the Snake Pit.

We would like to use this game as chance to look back at UNT basketball as well as a look to the future.

And if anyone out there has any stories from their time in the old Pit we would love to get them on tape.

Please email if you are interested in helping out

Check some old Yucca's for pictures. There was a great one from the 60's posted on here that showed the bedlam of the place.

The UNT library has a pretty extensive collection of photos, tapes and film reels. You might try talking with them. Not everything would be filed under Snake Pit or Basketball. You have to ask for items pertaining to specific people from that timeframe (coaches, players, ADs). Oh, and go talk to Bill Mercer. I know he was here before they built the Pit and I'm pretty sure he called games there too. Good luck.

Talk to Eric Capper, the SID, they should have all the media guides from then archived.

Also suggest you try the archives of the 'North Texan'...they have run stories in the past with pics.
