Bit of a slow day...

I and the restaurant staff did the A/V test tonight to make sure we could stream games into Killarney’s to the TVs and the restaurant audio system. SUCCESS! Killarney’s Irish Pub will be the new UNT Football Watching Party spot for the Collin County area the forseeable future. I think this location will be great with plenty of room for growth. They now have a billiard and darts room with a big screen TV as well.

Who is more desperate...Kansas? Or someone who accepts the job at Kansas?

IF OSU fires Gundy it might be the dumbest decision in my 30+ years of following college football. He's an OSU guy, wins 10 games a year, and look at their records pre-Gundy. I know their AD made some asinine statements lately but if winning ten games a year at OSU isn't good enough, then nothing is good enough.

It will be just like last year. Bloggers who know little more than we do will list all G5 coaches having a good season for every P5 vacancy (or rumored vacancy).

I received a call from that guy because of the tickets that I bought to last years game in Dallas. He was trying to get me to buy season tickets assuming I was an SMUt fan. LOL. Boy was he surprised when I said no way Jose and that the only reason my name was on his list was because they had the cheapest tickets to the game. Haha. People say never say never, but I would never go to a SMUt game unless they are playing UNT. Well, maybe if they pay me like they were paying Eric Dickerson I might. Haha

And definitely helmet-to-helmet targeting. One official threw the flag but he was apparently overruled. I believe had it been anyone, other than a service academy, the original ruling would have stood. The replay was obvious. Of course, that wouldn't have softened the concussion but I hope that it doesn't make him a target for future hits.

It seems to me that their #1 prospect should be Willie Fritz. Not only is Fritz a rebuilder (Georgia Southern, Tulane), he's from the area (Shawnee Mission). The triple option would make the Jayhawks instant trouble for the Big XII. So, go away and leave our coaches alone.

I was in a group at the coaches caravan when a similar comment was posed about his being gone at the first better offer. His response was that if you believe that then you don't know me very well. Just my personal opinion but I believe that Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arkansas and maybe Texas Tech are about the only offers that he would strongly consider at this time. He is building a real culture and I believe that he'd like to see more success before he thinks strongly about leaving. He seems loyal to his players and it could be that he feels that this mission isn't complete.

I was probably around 10 years old when Chapman played, but I had the opportunity to attend a number of practices down on the field. It was two different eras, but I would say they were probably equal. Different eras, different schemes. I was a fan of both. Both were extremely, almost freaky, athketic considering their stature.

Trent was a very good not great linebacker on a very bad NT team.

I think it’s the other way around. Based on the priority points you’ve earned from being a season ticked holder, etc., you get higher priority toward away game and bowl game tickets if you choose to purchase them.

Yeah, the trick has always been finding one in this area that’ll let us pipe the audio throughout, has good Internet connectivity, and a setup conducive to streaming some games through a PC to the TVs.

I don't have a vote in this, as I can never attend, but IMO this is a no-brainer. I love Fuzzy's, but I don't know how a taco joint that happens to have TVs held up for so long when you have so many sports pubs in the area.
