Guys, this is really big. I can't remember the last time we beat La. Tech. I admit. I didn't see this season coming. UAB,So. Miss.,UTSA, and now the Dawgs. This is just a great season for an old timer!

Also, kudos to the little girl after that final touchdown the broadcast was showing. She was intense and she was no older than 12 or 13 years old. Very encouraging. We just need 500K just like her.

I don't believe anyone who thinks NT should win easier has been a NT fan long. NT is usually on the short side of grind out games like this and any away win is an achievement for the program at this point.

Shhhh...you're supposed to bitch when we lose by a lot, then bitch when we come close but lose, then bitch when we only win a few of the close ones, and then shit on a team that seems to CONSISTENTLY find ways to win the close ones. That, apparently, is what North Texas fandom is all about...couldn't possibly be about relishing in the wins of a team that we were told was outrecruited, outcoached and likely not a bowl team at the beginning of the year.

I think we sometimes forget how YOUNG this team is...Yes they shouldn't be that close, but i contribute that to inexperience in both the coaching staff and the players. Very encouraging to me, this team is finding a way to win, despite the youth.

How can we hate on Dickey so much. It is because of his teams that I am still a UNT fan. That man doesn't get the respect that he deserves for what he did for our program. I regret that i will not be at that game in person...

He ran a style of play that got UNT to 4 straight bowls & earned him 4 coach-of-the-year honors. It wasn't his fault that he had a fan base that thought every run up the middle was a draw.

Because they aren't a great team and our conference is pretty not great as a whole.

We won, but we certainly got away with a PI in the last couple of minutes of the game. It brought equilibrium to the game for the missed interception the the officials refused to review and the fumble that was missed.

I agree ... much better than ESPN 3. You also have to give the announcers credit as they do it all without commercials. No potty breaks for them till half.

I am glad he wins close ones, but some of those games should not be close.

The way he went out was classless. Some of his comments he made were inexcusable. But our recent blowout at the hands of FAU helps point out what Dickey accomplished. Our team this year is not a bad team. But good teams typically lose games they shouldn't lose. The fact that Dickey was able to keep his team focused for a 4-season conference win streak is remarkable. Littrell unquestionably brings a better offense than Dickey did, he has a better overall staff than Dickey did, and he has more to work with than Dickey ever did, but I doubt Littrell will be able to maintain his team's focus like Dickey did.

I made my earlier post from intermission at the Dallas Symphony, where I was letting Copland, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky polish off some of my rough edges. Checked the score then and saw that Marshall had come back. What happened? I trusted you guys to put up enough points to win while I was absorbing some culture. Jeez! Can't get good help anymore!! :(

That being said, game ball goes to the D. with multiple calls going against them today, they stepped up and held La Tech to 6 points in the second half. big game next week to slam the door shut on CUSA West!
