Just proves that sometimes losers do win. Which should give hope to all NT fans.13 points

First the guy wins the first dance off in Apogee with a prize of a trip to Bermuda, wherein they've since reduced it to like a buy twelve, get one half price coupon at What-a-burger. Now he wins the Seth Littrell signed football in this week's season ticket renewal drawing thing. What a jerk. I spit half-chewed cheesecake crumbs in his general direction. ^^^^Addressing the important things in the off-season^^^^9 points

Too much ice, not enough ice. Popcorn too salty, not enough salt. Cheerleaders too pretty, don't show enough, show too much. We didn't win by enough points, we won by too many points. Even if a certain person comes back, they chose not to be happy anyway.6 points

Has there ever been a time in UNT history that the momentum and expectations were higher in Football, MBB and WBB were higher5 points

The Tune-a-roll is pretty good, but you have to finish it in the restaurant. They can never find a doggy bag for this one.4 points

Dale Hanson has been pushing the Ponies and Jankovich all year. At the same time he covered the McCasland hire as if it was an obligation and was totally dismissive, then he whined about Middle Tennessee busting his bracket and seemed shocked. Just one more reason for me to be happy about this loss.3 points

I only watch the first round closely, because I love the Cinderellas. So far, this is the most upset-free tournament I can ever remember. MT was the only semi-major upset. And, that is debatable as to even being an upset. The games have been pretty close and interesting though.3 points

I was expecting a lot from Mac along with having the new stadium. I thought that would put us at the top of the C-USA which also had Tulsa and Tulane.3 points

I think he's on to something. I also see why this would be hard to popularize. Every trend in offense and defense started with someone being told it would never work and they would get killed trying to do that. There is what's common practice and what's on the fringe. This is probably as far as you could push the boundary. He ended Highland Parks 18-year home win-streak in 2015. He is the real deal. This isn't just some thing he's trying on a whim, it's research and data backed. It's a money-ball-like approach to football. Of course as more teams adapted the data would change, but he's opening to incorporating new ideas and changing as the information does. I'm not saying I want UNT to be the forerunner, but I wouldn't be so closed off to say this would never work. People probably said it was stupid and never work in high school. He's doing the research not just rolling the dice here.2 points

I think we should focus on just winning in league play for a year before focusing too much on OOC scheduling.2 points

Personally my expectations for the 2017-2018 season probably isn't as high as it's been at other times. All three teams are still rebuilding from some black pits they were in. However, my long term expectations are much higher than they have ever been. I believe we now have the leadersip in place to do things the right way and give our coaches and players every opportunity to succeed. Smatresk and Baker have my full confidence that they will keep making good decisions. I also had very high expectations when the new stadium opened with Mac at the helm. Unfortunately, Mac and the AD office couldn't measure up to the task. Speaking of which ... normally as time passes you tend the think more fondly of those who have moved on and remember the good times. The exact opposite is happening to me when I think of RV. The longer he's away the more awful his tenure looks. That report which came out last year showed exactly how inept the AD office was. Then the more I see Baker at work the more awful RV performance appears in comparison. Thank goodness Smatresk came along to kick him out of this school.2 points

George Dunham and Todd Dodge talked about this guy on the coach's show several years ago. It's an interesting concept, but I'm skeptical that it is a winning concept at the FBS football level.2 points

Dunbar if he can remain injury free, could be a dangerous weapon for any team. Nice salary for one year.2 points

Great for Lance. Hopefully the Rams will utilize him out of the backfield more than the Cowboys and he stays healthy.2 points

Not to be a smart aleck, but we get excited about every five years. Rooting for North Texas is like kicking a football with Lucy. Still, we are all here, hoping for a turnaround. Maybe this time it will happen.1 point

On this we can agree, sir! It is Friday night and I need a cold Shiner. No argument to ensue.1 point

I don't consider Middle Tennessee an upset. The selection committee screwed Minnesota with making a MTSU a 12-seed.1 point

Were you in attendance during the two games where Davis killed NT... by himself (chucking up ducks to Sutton when he did throw)? Ignoring your comment about their 2014 season, you're not paying attention if you don't know why. 2015 was their first year under Morris. They had a VERY long way to go... ...you know, UNT's exact same journey in 2015 & 16. 2016 could have been better for them if Davis were healthy. The pony faithful seem to agree. Most of them were expecting him to take the starting job back next year.1 point

Remember, Blakeley actually tried to lower expectations that first season. His chair had "Don't expect miracles" written on it.1 point

Who's been given a vacation from GMG? Again, I've seen the 'this time it really is different' spiel before. If you choose to believe that this time, finally, it will all work out then that's fine. I'm far more skeptical and history would indicate that is more often correct. Shoot, maybe UNT really will finally figure it out, but most of the arguments presented are just people choosing to believe it's different this time. The hiring of a sitting D1 coach is different, trying to catch up on facilities isn't. Being near the top of a conference in terms of coaching pay isn't different. Will these coaches and this AD work out? Maybe, maybe not (though I think McCasland has a better than even chance of working out).1 point

I watched that video dozens of times, and I am still not convinced that Wheeler had anything to do with the injury. It looks like Davis' knee went out when he planted his foot to change directions just before contact. Now, if we can just get some agent to talk the WR Sutton into turning pro.1 point
