Coaching aside, this was a somewhat positive game. As Harry stated Lawson and Wooldrige demonstrated there could be a bright future for NT basketball. With absolutely no offense for about 12 minutes at the beginning of the second half; NT still came close to winning an away game against one of the better teams that they have played. Back to coaching, I think this team is so deep that Benford doesn't have a glue what to do with it. By deep, I don't mean that NT has a bunch of great players; but rather a team that every scholarship player is good enough to play significant minutes. I think Benford just keeps substituting hoping he will find the right five for that game. The problem is the team seldom looks like they have played together and players are more worried about being substituted for than winning the game.

Just do what we should have done 4 years ago. Fire Benford and start over. I would rather have Andrew as coach. I think I threw up a little in my mouth.

Coaching is a small community, where all your rivals know who you have signed,will sign, and hope to sign.There is nothing stealth about, so I think what you see is what you have .247 has UNT ranked 11 of 14 with UTSA 1st. Texas State is ranked 1st in the Belt. I don't think its too early to panic, as that ship has sailed.

First for the new AD. Honestly, last night just pissed me off. We can't beat Sun Belt or Southland teams, which is inexcusable especially after what JJ left him to work with and build on. He has ruined this program. Why young men want to sign up and play for him is beyond me. Now recruiting will suffer because we have a coach that is lame duck and won't be here next year. Time for change is now.

Zach is really coming on. Was MVP last week in Cedar Hill's tournament. Had a good game against DeSoto last night. I saw an earlier line where he had 12 points. Don't think that was accurate. I had him with about 17 points, 15 rebounds and about 7-8 blocks. (Didn't play the 2nd quarter after picking up 2 fouls in the first) Surely will move up in the rankings from 91 (in one poll and 66 in another) to at least 30th in the state. Looking like a much better pick up for the Green. Not a star but should add more depth at C/F

Well with Baylor and houston about to crash back down to earth, Coach Bro at Tech being a dead man walking and Sumlin starting to look a bit stale too, there is a decent chance for other Texas teams to improve their rectuiting. I fear Morris at SMU and Herman at UT and Wilson at UTSA will will take advantage the best, but I do hope Littrell will find a way to take advantage.

I think Woolridge will be a better point than Reese. In fact, I have been disappointed this year with Reese's game. Deckie has just been flat out horrible this year. I think there are 2 more scholarships after Wainright. Definitely can use some shooting.

Outstanding initial punch. Seems to lose his punch a little when he pulls, but that may have to do with the footwork being taught at his JUCO. Didn't see many highlights of him working 2nd level. Again, that may have more to do with his offensive scheme. Still, if he can snap, he looks like a center. And, if he is here for the Spring, all the better.

Agreed. SL wants to pass more and go fast, going to be hard to find Jordan Murrays that can play in a high tempo pass-pro heavy offense.. Also, I'm assuming this kid is a Dec grad. meaning he will have the entire spring/summer to lift and gain weight.But kid has good feet it looked like, I'd say G maybe T.. now we just need that WR we were hoping

Honest question. Does anyone remember a single game under Benford when we made adjustments and played better in the second half? I remember having half-time leads and hanging one to win. I remember many games that were close at the half and we loss by ten or more (like tonight apparently). But when did we ever leave a UNT basketball game that Benford coached and say "Wow we out coached or outplayed......?

For some reason I guess i did not want to believe this team was as bad as everyone was saying. Had to see for myself. Not sure if I will even try the rice game with this type of performance.

Yeah, I wanna know why he didnt play! Was it grades or a violation of team rules? Puzzling to say the least.
