Before anyone asks... No, he's not a transfer possibility here. Releases like this generally exclude conference teams. And besides, according to the ULL fans... Gradnigo is a slacker and something of an attitude problem. They think he's going to McNeese State.

Brandon Reed, ASU
Sanchez Hughley, FAU
Jordan Swing, WKU
Rudy Turner, ULM
Chris Gradnigo, ULL
Never good for the conference to lose talented players

Didn't know Rudy Turner transferred... That's why you're even more down on ULM than I am (and I already had them in ink at the bottom of the West next year).
Where did he go?
ASU also lost their Reed replacement, Jay-R Somethingorother. It's all over the SBC forum.

Wow... McNeese State is going to be a pretty damn good team after the transfers are eligible. Pencil them in as early favorites for the 2011-12 Southland championship.
And ULM... Boy, is ULM going to be sad. 5 returning players, six guys they signed in the middle of summer. And one of those summer additions is a D-1 transfer, so ULM is apparently preparing to play the season with a 10 man roster.
And what a roster it will be! Among their recruits is a 10ppg HS power forward. And they've also got an incoming guard who was 2nd team all state in Texas.
For 4-a.
Private and Parochial schools.
They've also got a JUCO from Cameroon, and they didn't even bother listing ANY stats on him. That's always a good sign.
Man, ULM is going to suck, and suck hard next season.

Jay-R Strowbridge...interesting...he left Nebraska for Jacksonville State, averaged 12.5ppg last year. He's another Daniel Bryant, maybe best for ASU to have lost him.
Turner, to my knowledge, was like most of ULM under Early and wasn't making his grades. Ron Wood, or Mick Jagger, or whoever took over their program is making a concerted effort to clean house and bring in quality students as well as athletes. While I commend him for it, it could be painful for a while...Gilbert and Sykes return and they're goods, Fred Brown somehow managed to nearly average double digits playing with Clemente and Pullen at KSU and should be an immediate impact player, but the rest of that roster is dreadful. APR cost them 2 ships, and of their 11, 4 are true freshmen, the 1 JUCO is a DII JUCO post who only managed 3 and 3 and 1 is going to a transfer who has to sit out this season.

Its ugly.
One of the freshmen does have a kick-ass name, though: Ife Eke...6'7" PF...I'll be pulling for him to make an impact.

Gilbert is a 3 and couldn't handle Big O anyway.
I guess between Ribeiro and Ndongo they have 10 fouls...

I thought Sykes was a 3 and Gilbert was the one who played inside with Turner last year.
I do make mistakes.

Well Josh White played the point last season and we all know that he...ehh, eff it.
Gilbert did play much of the year at the 4...but 6'7" 210 and 148 3pt attempts says 3 to me and ain't no way that fool matchin' up with sweet Georgio.
