Sounds like a great event Kram. Thank you so much for organizing this on behalf of UNT Cheer! You can count me in. I am 6-1, 210 and played a little hoops in high school. Bottomline I am a 40-something white guy and will be lucky to last a quarter!! Looking forward to some fun! GMG!

I'm in to play. I am 6-1 160. I am pretty quick. The last time I played competitive basketball was about 7 years ago in my first couple years of high school, but still have a decent shot. I'm probably a little out of shape, but I make up for that by being on 22 years old.

I'm in. 6'4" (or 6'6" if I was a college player), 235lbs power forwatd/center here. Still play twice a week, once in pick up games, and once in the Haus/Bertha Collins league in DTFW, where I had 13 and 12 two weeks ago. Don't let that first number fool you, Think defense and rebounding, and any offense you get will be a bonus. Used to be a shot blocker, but the vertical has suffered mightily since turning 40 a couple of years ago.

And KRAM, the photography contract has been worked out. The things I will do....

I will be the Ricky Rubio of the GMG draft...lottery pick talent, but I'm a draft day gamble b/c you don't know if I'll stay in the Euro Leagues (New Haven).

5'10", 180 combo guard...capable and comfortable on the ball as a facilitator, but better working off screens catching and shooting. I have legit range to 25-27 feet and a solid mid-range game either off the catch or off the bounce...I have a decent floater, but don't frequently venture into the land of the giants...especially not with the Roddy B - ankle I've been dealing with for the past 2 months. I play 2-5 times a week against former and future D1 and area college talent. Won't give you much in man defense (a bit more than TT...not much more) but I see the court well and fill passing lanes for steals in help defense. In terms of conditioning...I'm a marathon swimmer...I can go 40 if needed.

I am doing my best to get down for this game...I'd say I'm 50/50 right now with money and scheduling. Draft with caution.

Great to see all the interest...one thing we forgot to add. I need your T-Shirt size if you are a player.

If you cannot play and would like a T-Shirt as a commerative of this "Classic"...let me know your size...send in $25.00 to cover cost and a bit of a donation to the cause, and I'll get one made for you as well.

I need T-shirt sizes from all players!!!!

Medium...no matter what I want a shirt, even if I have to send cost of shipping as well.

Large t-shirt for me. 5' 11". I might be a better defensive player than I would an offensive player. Been a long time since I have picked up a round ball and shot some hoops. This outta be a fun experience none-the-less.

Remember, I need a Large t-shirt.

Yep...I got that down. I wonder why we need to be super specific about that? Could it be a hangover from the flag football game?????:thumbsu: Too funny...good call!

I am still in. XL for me on the t-shirt size. Now for the bio:

5-10 2xx. Played many pickups games at the rec center while in college, but that was about four years ago and haven't played much since. My game mostly consists of putting most of my effort into defense and then trying to get open for an occasional three on the other end of the court. Highlight of my limited basketball career would probably be throwing a few alley-oops in pickup games to a future NBA slam dunk contest winner (Gerald Green) while he was still in high school. I promise to whatever team picks me I will hit the 24 hours fitness for a few warm-up games before game day! Should be a fun time.

6-1.5 / 185.4 lbs. Caucasian male. I played some ball back in high school, and even tried to walk on at North Texas. For some reason, JJ didn't want me (probably had something to do with the fact I wasn't nearly good enough to be out there). Still play occasionally, but as of this post, I haven't played in about 8 months. Wow... that's depressing. I entered a dunk contest once in high school and got boooed off the court (literally). I will either be in shape or out of shape, depending on how I feel the week before. I might drink too much beer in Hot Springs and forget about the game completely. I know about 2 words in Spanish.

XL shirt for me, por favor.

6 foot, 185. They call me the Jewish Jordan, after ten or eleven beers. I'm more like the Jewish Brian Cardinal. Play about 2-3 times a week with competition way over my head. Decent on defense, focus lacks if women are present.

Put me in as a solid maybe. There are some other things going on that day. Need to find out timings before I can completely commit. 6'2" and ~165. Large T-shirt. Haven't shot a basketball in some time, but I can probably play defense as long as I don't have to guard a guy 4" taller than I am (remembering every year of GMG Bowl).

Emmitt01 says... 5'11'', 200-ish. Used to be quick enough to play PG, now more comfortable around the block. Decent shooter, good passer, excellent trash talker.

Any chance we can pin a link to this blog at the top of the Football board? I think that will help get it more traffic since I'm fairly certain some of our posters never make it to the forums for the "other sports" (IE not football).
