So, he will battle Felix Jones (bust), Demarco Murray (great last year, but blew out knee), Phillip Tanner (former MTSU back), and who else for a job?

I think he stands a real good chance of making that team.

According to the ESPN Draft Tracker, no players were drafted from North Texas this year. Has anyone seen anything official to validate this before we go all NT Daily on this?

If he makes the team and that's a BIG if, he's going to be pretty much a special teams guy. Unless the Cowboys have injuries, which if you look at Murray's and Jones' history it's pretty much a given they will

They've been following the Cowboys FA signings. Looks like Darrell Scott's the only other FA RB so far. He sounds more like a blocking/pounding guy, as opposed to the quickness and agility that Lance has.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but none of those guys scream "Dunbar can't beat me". The only obstacle I see is the fact that Jones loves Arkansas players, so Felix will have a leg up.

This is awesome! Felix Jones has been injury-prone in the pros, and DeMarco Murray was in college and was again last year! Lance really has a chanceto go in, work hard, and make that roster.

Playing special teams is a must. If he can also be trusted to block in the backfield and protect Romo then he'll have a chance to see a few meaningful snaps at RB during the season.
