I'm in, the girls are fun to watch. Also going to try and make the Baylor, TCU game.

Is nationally ranked Oklahoma State and LBSU at home as well? Great schedule!

I'll be there. We need to figure out a way to get all of the students who are already on campus to come over for their first Mean Green soccer action

OSU is in Stillwater, Long Beach is in College Station?

I'm planning on making this game. Hope the weather holds as there is a chance of rain in the forecast for Sunday at this point. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my schedule opens up enough for me to attend...yes, the ladies deserve a big and loud home crowd Sunday for the home opener!

I will try to post some updates in this thread from the game for those of you that are interested. NT beat UH 1-0 last year at Roberstson Stadium. Go Mean Green!

68' - Houston Goal. Ball bounced around in the box and fell to the feet of a Houston player who slotted it in to the corner. NT 1-1 UH.

82' - NT Goal!! Michelle Young controls a long cross field pass, does a step over ball fake at the corner of the box, and slams it home over the Houston GK from 16 yards out.

This was my first game at the new field, used to go back in the Intermural field days. Good game, nice crowd on hand to see this one. Go Mean Green!

Way to pull out the W in sloppy conditions! Should've been another shutout if we had cleared that ball outta the box appropriately.
Definitely a good crowd. I would've liked to see more energy from the crowd, but can't complain about the number of people that showed up. Keep em coming!
Next up: Texas Southern on Friday (Aug 31) @ 7PM

Always feels good when our NT programs beat teams like the University of Houston of the Big East.

Congratulations ladies, now lets make it 2-0 when our football team travels down to Houston to beat up on the cougars!

Had a great time watching Mean Green Soccer yesterday...even caught one of the little autographed soccer balls the ladies threw into the stands...way cool...it's right up on the shelf in my office with my Coach Mac autograped football, my Coach Benford autographed basketball, my RV autographed Apogee ground breaking hard hat and my Coach Stracke autographed Mean Green golf ball....thanks ladies...good throw! ha!

Anyway, good crowd for yesterday's game...a few seats left but also some folks standing (including RV) at the fences and a couple watching from cars in the parking lot and a few behind the goal...so, all in all a good crowd and the Soccer ladies did not disappoint.

Both goals were great goals and it looks like UNT's core of freshmen are going to provide some great soccer for years to come.

WAY TO GO LADIES!!!!!!
