K-State Post Game Thoughts
This one was a difficult one to swallow, not due to the loss itself, but just how poorly we looked in most aspects of the game. You just knew that when we came out for that first offensive drive - you know the one where we appeared to be sleepwalking - it was going to be a long night. I think the hope was we could hang a little bit with a tough team like K-State and we didn’t.

Tubby’s Sport Bar in Aggieville
So far the fans are pretty cool. One of them just bought us a round. Hawaii and Florida on one screen, ECU and VTech on another….life is good. This area is pretty cool, kind of like a bigger fry street, but in it’s pre- drive through problem days.

Game Day in the beautiful state of……well it’s game day anyway
Stopped to support the Native Americans last night just outside Norman and watced “June Cometh and Nothing Changeth” on the widescreen surrounded by Sooners. Rice’s QB with the Dirk Diggler Mustache could be an issue in a few weeks. Morning at the Motel 6 came early and we are on our way. Had a few UNT fans pass us last night, expect to see more on the way to Manhattan.

Mean Green Road Trip to K-State
So Friday afternoon Mean Rob and I will be loading up the TSX for our longest road trip since our excursion to Tuscaloosa a few years back. After much debate and a few coin flips we decided on staying in Wichita on Friday night. The infamous Kirby’s played into that decision. Rob who has been known to favor the dive, promised an “experience”, and the word is, he’s right. Of course we will be stopping to do our part, supporting some Native American establishments along the way

Wichita from all reports is no more than two hours from Manhattan and that is a decent drive to make on game day morning.
Saturday morning we will grab a bite, I like a big breakfast maybe even a good pecan Waffle on game day, but it won’t be at a Waffle House, seems that Kansas has one…..yes one and its barely in the State just west of KC. IHOP it is…….

We are going to shoot for getting to the Aggieville area to grab lunch and watch a few games before heading over to the Stadium and tailgating near the Athletic Department setup. I’m still not sure which restaurant in the Aggieville area we will head to, maybe one of the Kansas guys on the board can suggest one. List them Here. We’ll be posting pictures live from the tailgating area, so check in here if you can’t make it.
Click ”Continue Reading” to see a description and a map of the stadium and the UNT Athletic Department setup location. I also included PDF files of the map and a PDF of all of the away game tailgating. They are setting up at 3:00, and most of the UNT fans will make it through there before game time.
